Gospel Hip-Hop Label, Renaissance Music, Gives $31k Check To Build Safe House In South Africa | @rmmusictv | NORFOLK, VA. — (January 23, 2018) Renaissance Music artists Legin, Sinai and Focus released their compilation album, Safe House, in June 2017 to raise funds and awareness to protect children in Soshanguve, South Africa from sex trafficking. Through Renaissance’s non-profit, Expect Renaissance, Inc., 100% of the proceeds from the album go directly to building a safe house to protect the particularly vulnerable children of Kerus Global’s Orphan Care Center. Safe House features Grammy Award Winner KJ Scriven, Grammy Nominated artists Da’ T.R.U.T.H. and Laquan Green, producer/artist Spec, and lyricists Eshon Burgandy and Jered Sanders. Through the release of Safe House, concert and speaking events, a Safe House 5K and Half Marathon race and generous donations, Renaissance recently presented a check to Kerus Global for $31,555.03 towards building the Safe House. While a great accomplishment, $70,000 more is needed to build the Safe House. The goal of the Safe House Project is to break ground on this vital home before the end of 2018.
