The track features multi award-winning and fellow HFP label artist CalledOut Music in a remix of Marizu’s first single ‘Chosen’ which was debuted just over a year ago. The original track has just grossed over 1M views on YouTube and there is no doubt that Marizu is making waves in the Afro-pop gospel scene. Marizu Ikechi Atuonwu comes from a family of recording artists and as far back as he can remember, music has been a vital part of his upbringing. Even with such a strong music influence growing up, it wasn’t until the age of 16 that he joined his church choir and kicked off his music career. His first single ‘Chosen’ was released on his 21st birthday after graduating from University. ‘Through my music, it is a personal desire of mine for more people to also come to this revelation. It gives me great joy for people, young people especially to truly know and live in the most accurate knowledge of who they are and who Christ has made us to be.’ – Marizu The song was produced by Frank Fytt (London) and mixed and mastered by Xcel (Lagos). The artwork was done by Spirête. It has been just over a year since Marizu appeared on the gospel scene and there is no doubt that he will bring a valuable contribution to the industry through his songwriting, sound and collaborations.
