With this new project, you will understand why we are so excited to see him drop his first EP two years after we heard his first ever single ‘Chosen’ in 2018. He has certainly come a long way since he started and now has a fast growing fanbase. His uniquely identifiable voice sets him apart from the pack and is complimented by a writing style that stands out as heaven sent inspirational-fodder. In a recent interview, Marizu shared his thoughts on his new project. Here is an excerpt: Can you describe the journey in making this EP? [Marizu] It was an amazing experience. Every song came to me in a unique way and they each had a unique creative journey. There were certainly tough times and bumps along the way but I learned heaps throughout. This EP has helped me see beyond my horizon and trust the Holy Spirit with everything, especially what He has called me to do. What message would you like convey with this project? [Marizu] With this EP, I wanted to talk about how great God is and the depths of His love; expressing it in my own way with a fresh sound. Why Chapter One? [Marizu] I called it Chapter One because it’s my first body of work, and it also represents an important phase of my life. It is a huge reminder for me that this is only the beginning of even greater things to come. He began this good work and He is faithful enough to complete it. Trust! Chapter 1 Vol. 1 is available to download and stream on all digital platforms – iTunes, Apple Music, Googleplay, Amazon, Spotify, and Youtube. The EP has eight tracks in total and is split into 2 parts – Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Each volume has 4 tracks. We look forward to Chapter 1 Vol. 2, which will be released in October 2020.
