Stellar Award nominated and rising Gospel family group The Showers sophomore release THE JOURNEY enters at a strong No. 3 debut on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums and No. 9 on the combined Top Christian/Gospel sales charts this week. Released independently without major distribution through the family’s record label A&P Records, THE JOURNEY was boosted by a strong grassroots campaign and substantial touring. The Showers continues to tour across the country, which expands with more church dates, to share their new album with supporters including their album release concert on Saturday, October 28th, held at Greater Refuge Temple in Amite, LA. Special guests include Kierra Sheard, Keyondra Lockett, Paul Porter, Kerri Gordon, Kelly & Kelly and Arthur Gremillion & Friends. The event is hosted by Stellar Award winner Tasha Page Lockhart.
The 10-track project boasts the group’s current radio single “I Belong To You,” which continues to gain traction and adds weekly at Gospel radio. The group teamed up with producers Bruce Robinson, Jr (Joshua Rogers, Alexis Spight), BET’s Sunday Best winner Tasha Page-Lockhart, her husband Clifton Lockhart and Sean Keys with songwriting contributions from the Lockharts and the group’s lead singer Titus Showers. Celebrated vocalist Keyondra Lockett lends her vocals on the soothing track “Love.”
