Chicago newcomer Candace Brown lends her beautiful vocals while video filmmaker Sanicole (location scout for Lena Waithe’s “The Chi” on Showtime) directed Aasha’s visual component. Aasha Marie’s first solo effort Breaking Obscurity EP was released in 2014 and is available on all streaming platforms. Aasha Marie has opened for Wale, Silento, and was named “Artist on the Come Up” in Chicago by Wade-o-Radio, one of the top Christian hip hop sites for artists.
