Years ago, Darius Washington made his debut as an audition finalist on BET Sunday Best & American Idol and though not making it through the stage shows of those competitions, he still honed and blazed an independent trail for himself within the Gospel/Christian industry penning a single “There is a God” which garnered national attention.
Since then, Darius has toured the country captivating audiences with his soulful tone and passionate performances. His voice has drawn striking comparisons to both Grammy Winning vet Smokie Norful and acoustic sensation Jonathan McReynolds.
As an innovative artist, committed to versatility, Darius has also made strides in film production and even coupled his performing arts passion & business acumen to pioneer a daycare franchise of performing arts preschools.
Surviving a season of divorce & homelessness, The 26-year old phenom has a remarkable testimony that has inspired so many across the globe. Though Darius is now re-married with 4 children and pastoring Faith Life Church in Tallahassee, FL, he’s never left his first love: Music. Darius has just released a CCM/Gospel fusion anthem entitled “Awesome God” that worship leaders from all denominations have adopted into their “Sunday morning set list”. It’s definitely a must-hear!
