Peace Ese shares amazing Testimony in new single “You’ve Done Me Well” || Gospel artiste, Peace Obakpolor popularly known as Peace Ese has shared her amazing testimony in her latest single titled “You’ve Done Me Well”. According to her, “You’ve done me well” is a victory song God gave to her when she had the worst pain of her life. At the time she was faced with depression and frustration, all she could hear God say was I have done you well. She said she didn’t understand what he was saying until after one year. “I got married in December 2013 with the hope of getting pregnant and giving birth the following year. The first year, we tried but things did not go as planned/expected. We thought it was a joke and there was no need to panic. 2nd-year same thing. By the 3rd year, people have started talking… we became worried and we started seeking help. We prayed and paid visits to so many gynecologists. Not even one miss carriage. I must say it was not easy at all. By the sixth year, I was in a program and everyone was worshiping. I could not because my heart was so heavy. I cried like a baby and nobody understood what I was going through. So I may feel I was lost in the spirit or something else. Not knowing I was crying my pain to my maker, just like Hannah in the bible. After a while, I was called to bless God’s people. I mounted the podium and told myself I was going to worship my maker like never before and forget my pain. And after so intense worship I felt so relieved in my spirit. After that night, I stopped crying in my pain. But always in worship to my maker. I will always say, “if you cannot do it, no one can” As God could have it, the following month I was pregnant. Unknowingly to me. I had even attended two meetings and I didn’t know I was pregnant. That was August 2019. It was the best moment of my entire life. I keep saying to my husband, Mine, I am not barren. Cos was my first pregnancy in all my life. September everything was OK. The baby was growing, everyone was happy and was anticipating when the child would be born. In March 2020 I went to the hospital for my normal antenatal check-up. The doctor runs a check-up on me and asks me to go run a scan immediately. I waited for my Husband to come because he was in church that morning for a prayer program organized in our church. When he came we went for the scan, and because the lab scientist knew about my case she asked me to go and pee. And then broke the news to my husband that the child was no more. My husband begs them not to tell me. And that was how I was induced and gave birth to the child. The doctor said I need the induction because the child has a little complication. So after labouring for 48hours. The child finally came out. But I could not hear his cry. The doctor quickly took the child out and lied to me that they needed to transfer the child to another hospital. Children hospital to be precise. And that was how everyone including my siblings deceived me and took me home. They said I can only see the child later that evening. When we got home, they gave me food and drugs and allowed me to relax for a while. Then later they broke the news to me. At first, it was like a movie. They told me the child was OK and I went to see him in the evening. For like 5 mins I could not say a word or start crying. I was just looking at everyone. And that was it. The child I have been trusting God for was gone. I was completely charted. I saw my world scrambling at my face. I didn’t know what to do, I was a shadow of myself. Life became meaningless. I was so depressed and frustrated. At a point I stopped crying that I lost the child, I was praying to God, to get me out of the pain. So one Sunday afternoon my husband returned from church and they told him I had refused to eat anything. He came to the room and started talking to me. Honestly, I was not hearing a single word. He then begs me to come to the dining table and eat with him. While eating at the dining table, there was so much confusion and pain in my heart. I heard it so clear ” I have done you well. So I started singing the song. My lord my God, You have done me well. As I was singing it, I discovered this calmness in my spirit. My husband looked at me, and he said who wrote this song. I said nobody. It’s just flowing from my mouth. Little did I know that the song was doing to him the same thing it was doing to me. And that was how I was able to overcome my pain and agony. I believe that he is always involved in my matters. One year later and to date I now understood the meaning of the song.
